Winter Math Reflection
Reuben Barnes
Topic: Correlation
Evidence: Throughout this first semester I have had many assignments that challenged me, however the most memorable and the one that I was most proud of was the correlation assignments we did.
1. A correlation is a connection between two or more things, an easy example of a correlation would be money and happiness. If you have lots of money then you will be happy so therefore the two of them have some sort of correlation.
2. The process I went through learning about correlations began with small assignments and mini-projects with partners that allowed me to grow in the subject. This assignment (https://docs.google.com/a/animashighschool.com/spreadsheets/d/1bv2O1Adpsa5udteJniww0E_M_oSmhVrzS8USWHjmkno/edit#gid=0 ) I was able to learn much about correlations and beginning to understand them, by the time we got to larger assignments I was able to apply correlations to many other subjects.
3. Here is a mini project I did that was related to correlations. (https://docs.google.com/a/animashighschool.com/spreadsheets/d/1IK7KPogo_2JfBUfGr9a7-g7J45ULqdFFm7ppCPvzOBo/edit#gid=0 )
4. The meaning and purpose of a correlation is to determine what the strength of the relationship is between the two things and why they are important or relevant. This is what made correlations interesting to me because they would help me do that in the future.
